It's always fun knowing what is going on in your area and around the world. With the advent of YouTube and all of the copycats, web video is the current trend.
So, why have we created a SMC TV Section on this site when there are all of these
other places on the Internet? It's because it is not always easy to find
local content on these world-wide sites. And, even if you do, very seldom is
the content grouped together in such a way that, once you find one, you can find more.
We know that local programming is important and we want to be sure you have access to it.
Here at Search Me Cities, we have created convenient "Channels" that
provide on-demand programming. Each channel is set to a specific theme so when you go to one, you will find all of the shows are about that specific topic. Whether your interest is in local events, kid's programming, religion, culinary delights, music or a assortment of other topics, it is as simple as getting to the appropriate channel and selecting your show.

Events Calendar
Our Events page
will keep you and your family informed about anything and everything that goes
on so you can plan ahead. We even have a reminder service so when you find
things to do, you can ask the system to send you an email reminder before the
day of the event.
The Events Calendar is open to any civic group, non-profit, club or
organization. If you are putting on an event that the public should know about or if your club or organization is looking for new members, here is the perfect place to spread the word. Everything is free so go ahead and make use of this
incredible tool. (Sorry businesses, you are not allowed to post profit events
like tent sales or special sales events.)
To enter your event, simply create a free account then log in. Select the 'Post an Event' link and enter your information.
To view the Events Calendar just go to the Events
page and look for the sun symbol next to the dates. Click on a
sun and all of the events for that day will display below the calendar (no
log-in is required). If you would like to have a reminder sent, you would need
to create a free account and log in to set your reminder.
Local Business Directory
Our Local Business Directory is actually very simple to use but it is really a very large and
sophisticated database. There are over 21 million businesses in this database nationwide. Users simply go to the Local Businesses page to find a business listing. Our internal Search Engine will take all of the information you place in the different search fields and combine them to narrow down your search as much as you wish.
Here are some examples of how the search engine can be used:
If
you are looking for a specific business in a known town, you would enter the
business name and town then click "Search"
If you would like to see all restaurants that begin with the letter "A"
in a particular county, you would place an "A" (without the quotes)
in the Business Name field; the word "restaurant" in the Keyword Field and the county name
in the County Field.
If
you were looking for a business but couldn't remember the name
yet you knew that it began with "Sar" and you knew the city, you could
place "Sar" in the Business Name Field and the city name in the City
Field and the results would display all businesses that began with Sar in that
city.
If
you were looking for a new car and wanted to know what dealers were in the
area, you could perform a broader search by just entering "auto dealers" in the
Keyword Field and then click "Search". All of the car dealers, both new and
used, in your area would be displayed.
Every business in the serving area is entitled to a free listing in the database.
If you are a business owner/manager and want to see if you are in the database, simply perform a search as described above.
If
your information is correct, there is nothing more that you need to do.
If
your information is incorrect, incomplete or not there at all, just create a
free account and log in. There you can either modify your present listing
or create a new one.
You
also have an option to enhance your listing so it stands out among the rest. To

Local Movie Listings
The Movies page will display movies showing in your area by theater, title, time and rating. Hover your mouse over the ratings and a small pop-up window will tell you more about why it's rated the way it is.
You can expand the area viewed at the top of the page by selecting a
larger area from the dropdown box called "Distance".
You can also change the way the information is presented by clicking "Movies"
under "View By". This feature is nice if you already know the
movie you want to see and would like a more concise view of theaters and times.
If you are visiting an area outside your home area, you can place a
different zip code into the search area to see what is playing anywhere in the US.

Your Local Weather Forecast
So you now have decided on an event or a movie but you would like to
know what the weather is going to be like. Our Weather page provides you with an accurate look
at today's weather along with an extended nine-day forecast.
Everything is presented in a simple, easy to read format. We took extra care not to clutter up the page with nonsense, fluff or any other garbage.
It's straight to the point weather in a glance.
And, to make things even easier, each page of our site has an icon in the top right-hand section
(along with our other useful tools) that provides you a quick glimpse at the present time and weather conditions. See it up there? It's the one with the red clock. One click and you'll get a complete look at what's happening right now.

Property is an important asset and we feel it's important enough to give it its own pages. Whether you are a home owner attempting to sell you house or a Realtor who would like to list properties, the Real Estate pages are for you. Anyone can list up to five properties without charge. But, if you would like to list more, we have made it inexpensive and easy to do.
Our Real Estate listings
contain a full description of the house, image, map and information about how
to find out more about the property.
We also have divided the listings into four distinct segments: Houses
for Sale, Condos for Sale, Houses for Rent and Land for Sale.
To view the listings, simply go to the Real Estate page and select which category you would like to view from the menu on the left side of the page.
To list a home, create a free account then log in (no need to wait for a confirmation email - you can log in immediately). Then, from the menu choose to "Sell
your House". You may list up to five houses free. If you would like to list more, you may do so for a very small fee (10 extra listings - that's 15 total - only $19.95 per month; 20 extra - 25 total - only $29.95 per month).
You can add, modify or delete your listings as often as you want so it's perfect for Realtors and rental property owners. You will be assigned a secure account that you can manage your properties from even if you have never done anything like this before.

Free Local Classifieds
When was the last time you were able to sell ANYTHING you want without it costing you to place the ad? Yes, we know that there are some places where you can post an ad for items that are selling for less than $100 but here there is no limit!
At Search Me Cities
anything you want to sell - from nick-nacks to your car or your home, it all can be listed in our Classifieds without paying a penny (Weapons, illegal items, adult-oriented, vulgar or racially-motivated items and items that are sold as a business are not
allowed. If you have questions about what you are getting ready to post, contact us first.).
To purchase an item, you communicate directly with the buyer so there's no middleman to pay.
To sell your items, you will need to create a free account. You do not have to wait for an email to arrive to confirm your account. You may log in immediately after you create the account. After you log in, select "List in the Classifieds" from the menu. Simply follow the directions to place your ad. You may also place an image of the item in your ad as well and as much information you think it will take to convey the item's worth to your potential buyers.
Your advertisement will remain active for one week (seven days). You are welcome to
re-enter the ad as many times as you would like but it will automatically
stop running every seven days.
